Fri morning
We all met at the main gate and had a group photo taken by various of our cameras.
The ceremony was good, marching is not the forte' of the school but OK. It was supposed to be 30 degrees and we didn't feel the heat in the shade of the coral trees on the stand assigned for us, but the pupils did. They fell like flies, one fell on a drum and made a very spectacular drum/symbol-like crash. Shame he got injured and was bleeding at the mouth. Must have been at least 5 or 6 that collapsed.
Tea in the hall was good, all the re union classes had a chance to say something, Norman Prentice was spectacular and still looks the same. Dave Jevon spoke on our behalf and was funny and it was a good speech.
I have just come from the station bar with Colin Touyz, Gary Spilkin, Guy Searle and Simon Crawford..good food. The others have all done similar things at various other venues. We meet for the retreat later and then on to the spit.
I enclose only one photo of this morning.
Until later, we are all thinking of you guys that couldn't make it and many a nice word have been spoken on your behalves.
